The only part i liked in this episode was when Cordelia said to Giles “one of these days you’re gonna wake up in a coma” had me in stitches

This series had its rather outstanding ups and downs already, but this episode in its stupidity and absurdity far outdoes even the worst of what came before.

Just as hard to watch as when it originally aired. Maybe more so now than back then when Clinton was still in office.

A pretty good episode about the very real and harmful "Satanic Panic" that swept the US in the '80s and '90s. Fucking "moral majority" normie Boomer moral panic. Cordelia shows up to provide some much needed and hilarious comic relief in a rather intense episode. It's always due to a demon on Buffy so that there is some plausible distance in the script to present an issue without being "actual events", but there are some uncomfortable dynamics that lead to real violent hysteria that comes from such instances of mob justice, especially when it sweeps an entire nation or is baked into a multi-civilizational culture.

You will not speak to Bunny Summers again!

Sometimes you find a character that is so incredibly, deeply annoying that they are seared into your brain for all eternity. That character in Buffy is Joyce Summers.
