I thought I'd be like my friend @Anthoney65 /Alaric and find no powers very off-putting, but since we got magic venom and travelling through portals, I managed to find it entertaining. Next week, however, looks questionable.
Thoughts:
-There was no backstory on the villain. No backstory, and this initially nagged at me- but then I learn it was supposed to. I don't know that they should have shown the villains face, though!
-Do the writers know what they're doing? harry dies, comes back/elder community gone/powers stripped/strange community in Seattle of ppl acting conspicuously like magic doesnt exist/ ... Also, the last assassin had Dwyer-Cicadas voice from Flash.
Overall it wasn't a bad episode. Predictable set up to test the sister’s resolve for taking charge. I rolled my eyes at first with the obvious rip-off from Supernatural for the new bunker with alert system but, considering they never utilized as much as they should have, maybe this show will do better. Also, am I the only that guessed who the villain was?

Destroy the book. WTF were they thinking. Kill off the elders and the whitelighters that's fine.
I don't like no powers episodes. 6.5 I rounded up.
