Once again, BEST first responders show on television; period.

What kind of retarded firefighter gets into an elevator when there is a possible fire?? Who wrote this episode, the cleaning lady?

Hmm it's a good show, but you can tell it's a "budget" episode as it's all in the elevator. And yes firefighter 101 use the stairs duh.

When they couldn't hear each other it was heartbreaking

Seriously? Firefighters taking a lift to a potential fire. What clueless moron wrote this episode?

I love this show, and I enjoyed this episode. However I do have to agree with others as I was thinking the same thing. Most people know that you don't take an elevator when there is a fire, so an experienced firefighter should know. That just made Herman and Cruz look really dumb, shame on the writers for doing it that way. Put them in the freight elevator under a different scenario, not a fire.

Great episode on a budget. They listening to the radio and not being able to respond is heartbreaking. But yes, real life firefighters wouldn't go to an elevator in a possible fire.

For a bottle episode, which I normally hate, it wasn't that bad. But, as has already been said here by multiple others, it's pure stupidity to take an elevator during a fire. Firefighters wouldn't do that.
Also, Casey and Severide joking about the spectacular save that we don't get to see is rubbing salt in the wound.
