Another great episode of an amazing series. I must admit, whilst I'd heard of FMW, I wasn't that familiar with it. However, this opened my eyes to the beginning really of the hardcore style matches and paved the way, some amazing talent who inspired many.

Hayabusa's injury was painful and gut-wrenching to watch, knowing one little slip, a mistake, an accident, could have such a devastating effect, ending in paralysis. A stark reminder that this could happen to anyone who steps inside the ring.

When I stopped watching the WWF in the early 2000's I started watching Japan promotions. Mostly Joshie promotions. But I would get tapes from FMW & W*ing as well. Yes, both were garbage promotions. But I was into them. I can still watch either or today. For me IDK, both FMW & W*ing have a different feel to them than the garbage promotions in North America today. I mean if you are selling out 40-50K places, you're doing something right.
Also, You can see how AEW, Moxly & Kingston tried to mimic the Onita/Funk match at the end. At least thats how I saw it.
