This was probably the slowest episode yet, which means it still moved story along faster than most other contemporary shounen :D
Rui's backstory was maybe a bit too long, but in the end a nice touch. Maybe they should sprinkle more bits in here and there before they die. That would create a stronger emotional impact.
Anyway, I found it quite interesting to learn a bit more about Shinobu Kocho and Giyu Tomioka. And as a result Kocho becomes even creepier and Giyu more likable. Who would have thought? ;D
After a bit of a breather episode, we're going to get the confrontation between our favorite siblings of this anime season and the other Hashira (柱 meaning "pillar" or "support". It's also a counter for nobles or god). I'm looking forward to it.
