You can’t help but love Gabrielle Solis, man. I laughed so hard at her tempted by Virginia when she heard the proposal to become a personal shopper in Paris, to be paid in dresses. It was priceless to see Gaby totally speechless, and she fell right into the trap. It wouldn’t be Gaby if she let this opportunity pass, would it? And it was pretty embarrassing what happened between Virginia and Carlos. I thought it was funny he awkwardly afterwards, talking to his colleague about the “gift” he had over her. But we’ve already seen that Virginia is very smart. She told Gaby that it was “flattering to know that a young and pretty girl was feeling threatened” by her, but the intention is really bigger there, see Mary Alice’s narration. She is a predator. BTW: Frances Conroy, such an actress! I honor this participation.
It’s also impossible not to love Tom and Lynette. I always think it’s cute when he says that he thought she was against everything he did just to tease him, but if he’s hurting her feelings, he’ll drop everything without even thinking about it. That kind of complicity is not so easy to find. The next scene leads to understand that he was really cheating, and then it gets even more shocking when it is revealed that who is having sex there at the rehearsal location is Porter. And with an older woman, the mother of a close friend of his. It’s so weird to see the boy having an active sex life (and I know it’s normal for his age) considering we saw him as a kid a few episodes ago.
And Lynette, man... I love her so much, but she always jumps to conclusions about everything, she doesn’t let people talk, or justify themselves... It was like that when she saw Tom at Nora’s house, she took the kids and disappeared. And now she’s packing his bags. I find this even more ironic if we remember, for example, Rick’s situation, where Tom caught her blatantly lying about being busy with restaurant business and in fact she was having a romantic dinner with the waiter... We know this will be clarified, because he’ll have to reveal that it’s Porter who’s having an affair. But I find Lynette extremely impulsive in these marriage matters. Tom is very different from her in this and I prefer his method of dealing with certain crises.
SUSAN IN THE SHOWER WITH THAT WOMAN. Too priceless, the shampoo in the face, the woman being slammed into the wall, I laughed so hard. About Jackson: I liked that Susan had second thoughts and decided to go after him. And I also liked that they found a way to get it right and are going to try to start all over again. Unlike most, I think she has matured a lot in these five years and is now overcoming a fear, taking an important step with another guy. I prefer her with Mike forever. But Jackson is a good person, he is cute, handsome. And he seems to really like her. So, for now, you can accept it. BTW: Susan venting to the new painter, telling all the details of her life, that’s so Susan.
Bree and Katherine’s relationship has evolved so much. And I think it’s beautiful. In fact, the fights, competitions, etc etc, is what makes them look like sisters. Because even with the disagreements, there is a great gratitude and affection there. I love Bree with the greatest good intentions of trying to give Katherine a “hallelujah” night and achieving it. And I die when she finds out the guy was convicted of organ trafficking. “He’s going to end up stealing my heart,” oh my God. Katherine’s reaction in the kitchen made me feel sorry for her, but it also made me laugh a lot.
Lily Tomlin, my Frankie, Karen’s sister. And a very eccentric character. I loved the two of them working together to dig up dirt on Dave. Good thing Karen wasn’t sent to a clinic like he wanted. So she can find out what he really wants...
Speaking of which, Dave has brought together the four main male characters of the series in the band: Tom, Mike, Carlos and Orson. And he has an unparalleled interest in rehearsing, he wants to increase the time they spend playing music... Mike has already found all this interest strange... We also had in this episode the information that he had a brother and that he has died . So did it have something to do with what he came to do on Wisteria Lane? Hmm...
