Madame Vastra and Jenny
they are amazing,

him and stuck by him for

The intro theme has taken more inspiration from the earlier seasons, nice.
Fantastic introduction to a companion. Clara carries the episode.
It would have been a very cool and interesting idea to have a companion from a different time period. Nevermind.
I like the word game.
I like the new tardis interior. The previous one was too yellow and gold and yellow light and too complicated in it's design. This one is more simple and more white light with a bit of blue and simpler design of the floor and consoles. I like it. Not sure about the old-school looking design of the consoles though with the gray, and the small glowing tube in the center. My favorite tardis design is 9/10's. Yeah maybe it was a bit of that orange-y color, but it felt alien, and you had so much space, and it felt weird, and it felt like the center where the doctor worked was above the rest, because it was, giving a bit of a sense of awe and importance. And i liked the random controls and weird design of the console and stuff. Though i like the design on some of the controls of this new tardis console. And i guess i kinda like now there is a little elevator platform all around. I feel like it suits the new style and direction the doctor is going for, whereas it wouldn't have suited the previous doctors.
I liked the doctors friends. Years ago i didn't.
3rd act was drawn out and the villain was weak.
Clara's death is so sudden and weirdly executed.
The doctor couldn't go back in time and save her mid fall? He's even literally does in before with River.
I was going to mention in the asylum episode how cool it would be to have the dalek oswin character as a companion. But i decided against it because having a dalek as a companion (even if it was forced and they eventually learned to get along and for the doctor to heal more) would be too much for the doctor and too disrespectful after what the daleks had done to him and his people. Still, i wouldn't be completely against it, as the storytelling and character development opportunities would be incredible.
So too in this episode would it have been great if this Clara joined as a companion. That's two different but similar characters now, gone to waste as opportunities. Oh well.
But i get this character is part of a larger arc, and a similar character will return in her place.
