Starts with a good air of mystery to the setup. After the reveal, it starts to wander a bit, with the pesticide plot seeming less essential to the narrative than as a reason why our heroes aren't being constantly attacked by bugs. It also makes weird choices like Ian rapidly rejoining a crew despite them being a massive distance away, the Doctor insist he be the one to climb a wall to keep the more spry Barbara from getting hurt, and the doctor recognizing the pesticide by rubbing it all over his bare hand. But I like the giant production design, and the effect of the pistol shot was nicely realized.
