That was abrupt. But build up was great. "Need to grow up" is a rare theme for female protagonist which gives it a new angle - infantilization. Of course in case of Jane the meaning got some additional dimensions to it..
Well, I only wish I saw Doom Patrol sooner. It's definitely right up my alley. Hope season 3 gonna happened.

That was some grade school level writing...
This seemed like an abrupt, slightly rushed finale. I can't quite put my finger on it other than that. I'm pretty sure there was meant to be a few more episodes to the season, not just two or so but more like four or five, and COVID-19 put a stop to that, and that's why it felt the way it did, which was also a little disorienting.
But despite that, it was surprisingly enjoyable, and that's why I've given it a rating of seven out of ten instead of a six. I certainly wasn't expecting the season to end on a cliffhanger, but I guess it makes sense given that it wouldn't have made sense if it didn't end on a cliffhanger and the Candlemaker was defeated, just like that. I wonder if it still would've ended like that or relatively close to what we got if the season didn't get shortened. Even so, I'm mostly glad that the season is over.
Too much fluff not enough content for the main story arc. 8 episodes they could have done 3 and accomplished just as much.
I hope this cliffhanger was due to COVID - if not: You suck writers
Cliffhanger finales are only acceptable under a single circumstance and that is when the show was already renewed when the finale was written.
There are so many shows which ended on a cliffhanger. When will the responsible parties understand? It does not help! With at least 6 months between seasons most people aren't awaiting the next episode more at that time - it just pisses people like me off.

They did about as good a job as they could given the circumstances of the production having to shut down, etc. Fingers crossed for renewal, though it's going to take awhile.
