One of the few times, the adaptation had more gravitas for me than the original. Respect for ending the series with dignity and humility, instead of running it into the ground like so many other DC projects.

I don't think I've fully processed just how sad Cliff's ending was, with or without comparisons. Rita at least had a sense of outgrowing and overcoming her younger self's problems, but Cliff got to his complete arc with the bittersweet Six Feet Under image of his grandson's future sorta repeating his mistakes and Clara dying a slow death, so yeah, that stings a bit.
The only mention of Dorothy was about the house being empty, that was disappointing. She and Danny deserved at least an update on what they're up to.
Victor, Larry and K had great endings in their own way.
Rouge's ending was the best one. No notes. :rofl:
This show started really strong but it kinda lost me along the way, emotion ending anyway tho.

It was a miracle that doom patrol got a tv series. And as weird and funny as it was it didn’t quite make the insanity of the comics. But it was probably the best you can do for tv. The cast gave some amazing performances, I would have kept watching but the true evil defeated the show.
What an absolute shitty finale.
Somehow, to me, Rita's farewell is so suggestive of a potential new J.D. Robb-style book title: Elegant in Death. Bravo.
I do remember thinking that it'd be great to somehow get Isabelle and the butts to take each other out, but somehow I hadn't thought of doing it quite like that...

Another comic book series finale we reach, and i cannot help to feel a bit sad. Even that the quality of the seasons was downhill from the first one until now, still was one of the most steady ones since its goofy theme made it easier to maintain. The "bad guy" (or girl?) this season wasn't good enough at all, and again as in many other comic book series, they "defeated" it without even fighting. I mean, i know it must be expensive to CGI all the powers and such, but still, they could have done it better (I mean, we barely saw them using powers from the beggining, but one would think that for the final episode they would go with a bang). Having a Legion-type of character, which now had all the powers together in one persona and barely using them, feels cheap. The finale itself wasn't my favourite, and you could feel how the cancellation (that they pivoted into a "series finale") affected the storylines and most of them just were tidy enough (although not happy most of them) to give a decent ending. Even that it was cancelled, i still think it shouldn't have gone too much longer (maybe one more season? and that's it), but as showed before with many other cases, comic book adaptations shouldn't be longer than 3-5 seasons. The production value, writing and storytellig can't hold much longer than that. Anyway, it was decent enough (maybe at the same level of Titans) but still downgraded the overall rating of 8 to a 7.
