I don't understand this mother. She knew something wasn't right and was afraid of her own son. You meet with a professional and get the kid help.
God this episode made me so mad. This mom could be used as a "how not to raise a child" textbook. She is to blame and so is his absent father. She should not have custody of that grandson. She's going to raise him from guilt just like she admitted to doing for Derrick, which turned him into an entitled monster.

I normally love this show. It is so interesting. But this episode made me want to strangle the mother. SPOILER. She is a freaking moron. In my opinion, she is 80% the reason why her son turned out the way he did. I was watching the show and just wanted to reach through the screen and ask her why? Why do you feel like this was an okay way to raise a child?! SPOILER. Who was the genius that let her raise her grandson?!?! That child should be taken away from her.
