This would have gone better if they'd cut the flashbacks in Part 1 way short, and done the setup of cutting Michelle's party short and finding out Jesse needs an appendectomy before a "To Be Continued", leaving a lot more time for Part 2 to capitalize on the dramatic setup they wasted.
