While I'm always on board for the madness of Doug Booth, this one didn't fully come together for me. I know a point is being made of how much the Marine v Seal feud between Leatherneck and Wet-Suit keeps derailing the plot, but Wet-Suit is especially played as a vicious asshole who should have no place on the hero team. I do like how the situation leads Lifeline to take a strong stand, and it does lead to a fun climax, but man is it hard to get through at times. On the Cobra side, while Serpentor's plot about gathering relics of his genetic ancestors doesn't make a lick of sense, especially in how it leads to a series of shifting dominances within him, both physically and mentally, it's still an interesting visual gimmick, and I love where it goes with the wild castle of Vlad the Impaler, and the temple of the serpents. And after being sidelined for too much of the season, its nice to see Destro and Cobra Commander again, even if it feels like Chris Latta is phoning it in with a surprisingly subdued take on the Commander.
