On the one hand, a Joe wearing a confederate belt buckle is either emblematic of the more dated and troublesome aspects of the show, or an interesting oxymoron of someone who shouldn't be what the Joes aspire to be. Despite this, Cross-Country makes for a fun scrappy, wacky lead to hinge the episode on as a missing tape deck leads to an entire underground Cobra operation with human slave labor, "trained" rat/gator hybrids, and Cobra building his own splintered fraction of Cobra in opposition to Serpentor. Dixon and Hill make a big, fun, wild episode to wrap the season up with.
