I always knew game of thrones was a good show, I could just never be bothered to watch it as it seemed long and boring, but I think now I’m hooked.

“When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die. There is in the middle ground.”

Baelish, you bastard. I wanted to say that trusting this fucker was Ned Stark’s only mistake, but it wasn’t. In the end, Ned’s morality was one of his biggest enemies.

This show just has everything that I've ever wanted in a TV Series. it is a gripping medieval high fantasy that incorporates gruesome scenes and for once you don't actually know who the good guys are. This episode was just brilliant and I can see we are gearing up for a massive finale.

I will say, however, that I did think that the brothel scene was very unnecessary.

This episode featured a lot of iconic scenes from the first novel in the series, even though I have read the book beforehand and knew what was going to happen, there was still a lot of tension. Though the brothel sequence with Littlefinger was rather unnecessary.

Littlefinger: "You know what I learnt losing that duel? I learnt that I'll never win. Not that way. That's their game, their rules. I'm not going to fight them. I'm going to fuck them. That's what I know, that's what I am, and only by admitting what we are can we get what we want."
Ros: "And what do you want?"
Littlefinger: "Oh, everything, my dear. Everything there is."

there's still something i'm missing in the show... i can't tell what it is, but it's that something that still keeps me from saying that i definitely like the show. i'll see the last episodes of the season and then give a final judgment.

This episode marks the moment when Starks reach the point of no return. Starks and Lannister take huge gambles and in the end, only one House will win.

Even after repeated viewing, the pacing is just top notch. I was still on the edge of my seat. And this episode truly improves with repeated viewing.

As Syrio Forel (Arya's "dance teacher") famously quotes, the death may look imminent for one of the Houses, but "not today".

When Cersei said: "So this is it... I guess we are playing some kind of Game of Thrones?"

I was left speechless.

Great episode and ending, but the pointless sex scenes keep this show from being a 10/10 so far.

-peak GoT is ruthless and unfair episode
-poor Ned was doing the right thing and Littlefinger and Cersei were smart af
-Tywin's intro was so classic and fun to watch, can't wait to re-experience this character
