I watched the first two episodes and liked George & Tammy. Cinematically it was good, well shot I' say. Jessica Chastain and Michael Shannon's chemistry is insane. They also sound amazing singing together. I hope nobody expects biopic singing to be as good as the real thing.
I have no idea how historically accurate this portrayal is; I don't know enough of the 'real' story to decide. I suspect some liberties have been taken but it's still entertaining. I look forward to seeing where things go. George & Tammy is a must-watch for anyone interested in celebrity-dumpster-fire country-western biopics. This feels like a TV version of Walk the Line, starring Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon.
