ok, now i get you, fellow commenters, Dean didn't deserve this. He might have some jealousy and anger issues, and a weird view of a wife's role but he didn't deserve his girlfriend ditching school, risking to miss (and missing) the most important person's in her life, her mother's most important event, graduation, to see some guy "that is not [her] guy". God fucking dammit, Rory! This show shows her as more mature than her mother really often (even in the first scene of this episode), that you kind of forget that she's just 16 (i think her 17th birthday was supposed to be in the fall and the show skipped it) and can do stupid stuff too.

Rory “being in love” doesn’t make up for her shitty ass decisions, what the fuck. Got tired of her whining, hope they’ll move on from this ridiculous drama soon...

Seeing Emily being proud of Lorelai graduating was beautiful. Too bad Rory preferred to ditch school, go to a dangerous city on her own to see a guy who clearly wants to be with her or at the very least enjoys making her boyfriend angry. How could she do that to Dean especially after he reacted much better than expected to Jess crashing the car he gave to Rory while they were being all cute together having an ice cream. And then she misses the most important day of her mother and she feels so terrible for herself instead of hearing out how her mom feels.

Please break up with Dean next time you decide to skip school and see another guy. I THOUGHT YOU CARED ABOUT GOING TO HARVARD OR YALE, BUT INSTEAD YOU'LL GO TO JAIL.
