Not offensive nor preachy (two things that are often hard to avoid when doing a show about religion), mildly entertaining and quite moving, at times. Every now and then I got the feeling this episode was run by graduates from cinema school as the acting, mostly, seemed occasionally amateurish. The premise certainly looks promising, even though I'm getting the cancellation vibes from this show, already.
God Friended Me may be interesting if you've got nothing else to watch. But, really, who has nothing else to watch, these days?
Good thing that horrific car crash didn't hurt her face!
This is actually a good show. I'm not religious or anything but this is entertaining.
This is the true definition of ORIGINAL SERIES. The plot twist in just a pilot is so uplifting and exciting.
My only concern is how they could keep this going on for number of seasons.
As an atheist myself, I'm kinda digging this premise. Although, at its core, doesn't this show mess with the whole free will thing?
I don't like a show that's all work and nonplay, which you'd expect from a show that's about religion. This one gives the seriousness of a Drama with shots of comedic relief thrown in. Will be one of the shows I keep an eye on when I need a break from my regulars.
If either on purpose or not they're strongly pushing the chemistry between Cara and Miles. It seemed very rushed the first episode. Would have liked it more if they built they're friendship over 2 or 3 episodes, personally.
I really really like this first episode! It's too early to say but, I think it could become one of my favorite TV shows

TBH I only decided to watch this because of Violet Beane, but this show is actually okay. I'm giving this season my full attention.
