Ok, maybe I've watched too many shows and movies about time travel, but... Wouldn't Hiro understand that some events in history are fixed? That they cannot (or should not) be changed? I do like that this gives him a new perspective on his power and further complexes his character arc, tho. Someone as positive as him had to have something that changes it completely at one point.
