I first started watching this show when I started up college and I never made it past Season 5. I’ve decided to start watching it again and I’m very glad I did!

I enjoyed this season a lot! A very nice start. I forgot how funny this show was! The main 5 characters are all really interesting, and I enjoy watching them navigate through their scenarios.

This show is very much a product of its time and a lot of the jokes did not age very well. It was a little discomforting to watch at times because of this, but nothing that made me want to give up on the show.

My favorite episode this season was 100% episode 18. Nothing Good Happens After 2AM is everything I LOVE about this show. The emotion, the banter, the frustration! Stellar episode.

On to the next season!!

I liked this season. It was pretty enjoyable for the first season. Of course, it had its ups and downs. For me, anyway. Despite that, it was good. The show gets even better from the second season onward from what I remember, as I've already watched this show before and I'm simply rewatching it.

Aired on the CBS in the 2005, How I met your mother is a comedy that has as main character the architect Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor), that in the 2030 tells his kids how he met their mother. The story, thanks to flashbacks, goes back of twenty five years when Ted lived in New York in a flat shared with his friends Lily (Alyson Hannigan) and Marshall (Jason Segel), a couple that wants to marry. Despite his single status, Ted dreams to marry and make a family, too. Maybe this is the reason why the story begins when he met Robin (Cobie Smulders), a Canadian reporter that will be for him more than a friend. The group of friends is completed by Barney Stinson (Neil Patrick Harris), a playboy with a passion for suits, that is the most funny character of the show. The main theme of the show is surely Ted‘s relationships but there are also his friends’ events. Among love affairs, disappointments and improbable scenarios the show becomes a humorous story about friendship, remembering a lot the ’90s show Friends. The serie boasts a lot of guest stars, among them Ashley Williams, that I loved as Victoria; Alexis Denisof, Hannigan‘s husband; David Burtka, Neil Patrick Harris’ partner, and Amy Acker.

Had to start watching this sitcom twice because the first time Marshal (Jason Segel) got on my nerves that much that I didn't watch more than the first couple of episodes. Additionally, I'm not sure if Ted is the right choice for the main character...

Otherwise a solid sitcom with a lot of laughs! That there is no laughter track is very welcome, too.
