So the one thing that threw me off was the zipper on her Irma Vep suit, it felt too modern to me so I googled it and yes the zipper was invented or improved in the early 1900s but I feel like it wouldn’t be that popularized to be used in the custom design of a french movie so idk…

I'm going to give it a shot despite the first episode not being all that good, so far they removed the more Indie French cinema environment of the full-length movie, like house parties, conversations that felt real, and artistry for the Hollywood Type environment and full-on soap opera Drama, another big difference is the "Director", in the movie he is like kind of a genius weirdo, where here in the first episode he feels like the typical comic relief, hope it gets better.

Loved the aspect of drama behind the scenes. It set up the characters and made me want to try watching The Vampires (but 7hr movie might be too long for my poor short-span of concentration:sweat_smile:)

Power shifting between Mira and Laurie also look interesting

I am really confused as to what is going on. But Mira and Laurie's dynamic is chief kiss

Very much a setting-up type of premiere, but helps that it's fun and playful, and often very funny.
