I think I'm the only person in the US that watched and loved this show when it aired. Sometimes you have to wonder if a show like this bombs so hard because the audience it was marketed to was not the correct audience to appreciate it. I think it may have been marketed to the very people it was actually lampooning and thus the reception to it by them was more than icy. Meanwhile, people like me, who escaped suburbia and it's trappings like one escapes a cult, found this show exceptionally funny and particularly clever.
