Everything works in this episode. Kolchak does some actual hard-nosed, investigative reporting. He doesn't stumble and bumble his way around this episode.

The Rakshasa is actually pretty scary even though we only catch glimpses of it. The director does a great job of letting the viewer's imagination play a part in the scares. Emily is sweet as molasses and we learn that she is someone that Kolchak trusts. Simon Oakland as Tony Vincenzo is in top form here. Tony gets after a couple of police detectives that are harassing Karl. It's a side of Vincenzo that we don't see enough of.
