Getting right back into the swing of things huh. Man I really enjoyed seeing all of Tokise High again, man was there performance beautiful. Bro, it was so heartbreaking seeing the team lose after all of that, though it was to be expected given the horrendous first half. We got some nice minimal characterization for Satowa, with her "gentle sounds" from the Tokise performance representing how she's no longer lonely, and because she's now surrounded by people who she cares for and who cares for her, Satowa is able to play these beautiful, gentle tones which are a stark contrast to the lonely sounds she produced back as a soloist Koto performer. Even Ootori, who hates the fact that Satowa joined this unrefined team, knows that Satowa could only produce tones as gentle as those in the Tokise club. Also, man am I loving Chika and Satowa's friendship, seeing Satowa being so concerned for Chika was heartwarming, and so was Chika sticking up for Satowa, saying she's producing even more beautiful tones now. Also, looks like Mr Takinami is now infatuated with the Tokise Koto Club, wanting to see the beautiful sounds they can produce as a group and admiring the efforts everyone's put into the performance (with him not revealing that Chika's injury was Kurusu's fault) . I can't wait to see more of him this season, especially if we see more pep talks from him like at the end of today's episode. Also, man am I impressed with Takezo's development, with him finally not being mired in self-doubt and thinking the club stands no chance, rather now Takezo believes the club could stand a chance at nationals if they put there all to it, and now he wants the club to work towards that dream, regardless of how unlikely it is.
