Mac learns a good friend of his died. When he goes to her funeral, he finds himself investigating her murder. Knowing this show, I never bought it that she was dead. Especially since she of course is pretty. So I was right and she faked her death and they team up with her. The show is a decent guilty pleasure but it hardly ever surprised me with plot twists.
Nothing surprising really happened... but the dynamics between Mac and Jack is really great, even though I do think they dumbed down Jack way too much.
