from what i'm seeing, the writers have given mac and desi a whole bunch of tiny complications from the beginning of this season, no doubt to try and push / prove that mac and riley are "meant to be together this entire time"... but when we're only given that one little almost-kiss a couple of episodes ago, the ending of this ep, and really nothing else recently to show a mutual feeling between them especially from mac's pov), it feels incredibly sloppy. in no other instance can i think of mac ever feeling that way towards riley.
this frankly quite unnecessary drama just for a couple to most likely get together in the finale... ugh, no. it sucks. and definitely not cool when you're just kinda lowkey pitting the two woc against each other for the white male lead like this.
Also, is it just me or is anyone else worried about what the lady who took the photos in Russ' secret room is up to? I'm sure she's connected to the overall plot somehow. Seems like any / all relationships in this show are going downhill lmao
