That was one of the worst episodes. I get them trying to have some Halloween fun, but it didn't work at all. Also, the producers continue to have the score for the show fill every single minute of the show -- as if they are unsure that the audience can pick up on the emotions of each scene. It is quite annoying and distracting.
How cliched could the writers get? Introduce a new young cop, have him talk about his family and son. Then have him stabbed. Not very good writing.
