I’m happy for them! They created something good and I’m glad they pulled through despite everything, pandemic included. And that gift by the construction crew was so sweet, I can only assume they were very grateful to have that stable job and steady income during the pandemic. (Tho I feel it bothers them a little that it’s blue instead of pink or white -but I love that color, looks so bright) So yes I’m happy for their accomplishment but I still don’t agree 100% with what they did, they gentrified a family motel to an instagram boutique hotel, like imagine a family that vacationed there summer 2019 trying to book their trip for summer 2021 and surprise, the room is $400 more expensive! I mean maybe someone is gonna open a new Motel in town to fill that new demand? I’m gonna check their instagram to see how things are going, I feel like a last episode was needed to see their progress up to this date! And also I don’t know if it’s the way the show is framed or if it’s the way things happened, but I feel like there was so much focus on neon lights, tapestries, wallpapers, vases, plants and rosé but obviously there were a lot of hard choices and difficult moments that lead to that result but who knows, I do believe they really are like rosé maniacs but there’s another side of them that we didn’t get to see that much. Also I wonder why it got canceled less than two months after it was released? Going to instagram to find out! Okay so I just checked their instagram and I’m SHOCKED! Sauble Beach is in CANADA! That’s crazy, from context I assumed it was northeast but in the states, so that kinda changes my perspective a little, I’m no longer that mad about them not using their masks, Ontario had less than 1k daily covid cases, so I guess they were okay and also now I get how hard was to source materials. And for updates they opened up the indoor area of the restaurant, they also have pick up which is a great idea, and they put up plexiglas on that structure in the patio. And I think that’s it. Also checked the prices and they go from 200-400 a night, so at least it isn’t the flat 400 every time. And they were right! There’s tons of insta pictures with the rosé, the neon signs, the lobby! People really go there to take pics, so they are genius!
