Honestly, I thought Emma's accident and the aftermath of it would have more of an emotional punch than it did. I don't know if it's because I was expecting it or because we've kept meeting Dexter in low points of his life that grieving the loss of his soulmate/best friend/wife didn't really feel any different than what we've been seeing all season.
Why did I watch this?? I didn't need the cry, I re-lived so many sad and painful moments in my life, I just didn't need that. This is why I don't watch love stories on TV... it's a brilliant show, brilliant actors, but it was just painful for me personally.
i was more or less holding it together, but then ofc they had to come in with the montage at the end… really clocked into work with a clear target: lets make these bitches suffer

Well, that was an absolutely wrenching ending.
What a lovely and well acted story.
I knew the ending so it was not a surprise to me but God the way the cast and the director made this episode it made me feel all the pain and the suffering that loss is all about and I cried my eyes out on a Sunday morning which was brilliant and sunny but I was crying because I really relived all my losses and empathised with Dex......brilliantly played and worth it . I loved it even though I was trying to hold it together at the end I was sobbing like a blob. Not all love stories have happy endings but that doesn't diminish their value and what we are left with from the people that are no longer in our lives. Having said that oh it hurts......Love to everyone who watches this I hope you have a great love in your life like Emma and Dexter
Imagine waiting years and years to get your happily ever after, only for it to be completely ripped away from you when you finally get it…
I could really not wait to finish this

I can't believe Emma just dies like that but I guess thats what happens in real life
