A bit too convoluted for me. But maybe that's just a premiere thing.
I got excited for this once I heard Jack Amiel and Michael Begler (the two showrunners of The Knick) took over the reigns. The two previous showrunners didn't want to make a Perry Mason series, and barely got the character in a courtroom for most of the first season. That's changed and luckily so has the tone. So far it looks to be a slight improvement of the first installment but there's too many callbacks to Season 1 when it should've allowed Amiel and Begler to let it fully reboot itself. The more it detaches itself from Season 1 the better the show will be. I'm also not sure about the show's renewal status after this season, the reason being is that HBO seems to be the place for talked about Dramas and this hasn't done so but who knows, maybe enough Clickers and dragons will allow this series to continue. I just wished we got another season of Lovecraft Country.

I'm here mostly to enjoy the fashion, music, household props, automobiles... and everything 1930s. Appreciate all the effort done putting all the little details that make this show what it is.
