This is a sweet episode, and one that showcases Phineas and Ferb's willingness to go above and beyond for the people they care about - something that becomes standard by the second season of the show. Still, like a lot of Season 1 episodes, I wish they went a bit more absurd with it, though I understand that it may have been impossible due to limitations or just wanting to prove their ground first.
Still, the Doof plot is very funny and continues the trend of them being just as funny as they are petty. The petty schemes are easily my favourite ones as they lead to more of the character analysis that has been placed on Doof of all characters - he's fascinating and genuinely a triumph of storytelling
