The animation here! Some of the best and most dynamic of the show yet as it begins to play with a ton of new elements, particularly in the Doof subplot which has some really great lighting, shading, and transformation work. Even then though, the main storyline is so well realized with it's harsh reds, fantastic background art, and great character animation.
It also helps that it's just a great Halloween episode. The show has done Halloween styled episodes before, but never one set on the holiday, and it's a great story to have on the day itself. It's spooky, has genuinely great horror imagery, and a subversive, hilarious twist at the end. Fantastic stuff.
