Let's face it if one day in the future undeniable evidence is found that we are not alone in the universe do we honestly think that world governments would publicly release this news. Imagine the impacts on religion, those who believe in various conspiracies and hide guns just in case. The Fear and paranoia would be widespread across the globe. Personally, I find it hard to believe that we are the only species in the universe.
