Still good but not like the opening
Dunno 'bout you, but... Lana and Aquaman from Smallville sharing the screen was kind'a special...especially with her character being, "good" ("He's never not come home!")
come on, it's not that strange... if People noticed Rob Stark's reunion with John Snow in, "The Eternals," coinciding with their last encounter in GOT ("The next time we meet you'll be wearing black").
Really? They didn't call the feds because the bad guys could have stopped their activities and no one else in town would have died?
MODERATION EDIT: Be respectful.
Enjoyed it and pacing is just right look forward to how these next episodes unfold.
Still making my mind up about the adaptation overall, but one moment in this episode did make me sit up and take notice in a big way: Reacher is dancing with Roscoe at the roadhouse, they lean closer together, their foreheads touching. We see the deputy relaxing, and a beat later, Reacher does the same, his eyes closing, peace settling across his face. It's a subtle grace note that had been missing from Alan Ritchson's performance up to this point, and I was relieved to see it. To say nothing of how heartening it was to see the creative team be this willing to show vulnerability and surrender in their big-ass superhuman male lead.
Somebody, please! Get this man a gun!
"i think shes talking about you"

aving read all of the Lee Child, Reacher series, I was looking forward to this, wasn't disappointed with the first epp, so looking forward to getting into this.
It’s a suppressor Reacher, not a “silencer”. The military or firearms liaison on this show is either awful or they didn’t consult one. So many inaccuracies in jargon and military procedures. Like Reacher says, “it’s all in the details…”. Other than my nitpicking I’m enjoying the show though.
P.S. Kristin Kreuk’s southern accent is horrible.
You didn't need a gun. Cuz, you're a weapon.
I feel like the premiere leaned more into exposition, whereas this episode focused more on establishing and setting up things further. Whatever's going on must be pretty big, as proven by how the hired guns had military experience, so the setting up of what's to come seems to be painting a big picture: it's just a matter of whether or not it'll deliver. And we were also introduced to two major players, I believe. Mayor Teale. The Kliner guy. I imagine we'll get more of them throughout the rest of the season.
So, by all means, this episode was "important." Not to mention, this is only the second episode; of course, there wouldn't be much going on yet. Logically, I understand the relevance and importance concerning some things in this episode; as a whole, it didn't seem to deliver as much as the premiere, entertainment-wise. But maybe the premiere was entertaining because of being the start of a new show. This episode was still enjoyable to watch, though. But given the purpose of this episode, doing more introducing, establishing, and setting up, it was bound to be a little less enjoyable.
There were still aspects and moments that stood out above everything else. Like the minor fight sequence against those hooligans, the surprising graphic nature of the murder; I wasn't expecting something like that in this show, and it was so sudden, it almost felt out of place; and the fight sequence against the two South American, military-experienced hired guns.
Arguably, the moments with Jack and Roscoe were more meaningful and relevant. I can see that, but I'm not too familiar with Roscoe's (or Jack's) character yet. So, I don't have a concrete opinion yet concerning their budding dynamic/relationship, which seems to be slithering into romantic territory. But their interactions, especially towards the end, were pleasant.
Oddly enough, my biggest takeaway was how different Willa Fitzgerald looked and seemed as Roscoe once she changed clothing and had her hair down. Granted, our only frame of reference is the premiere: one episode.
I thought the (literal) dark atmosphere during the first few minutes added a lot to the feel. But while I imagine there was also tension and suspense for some people: regarding those first few minutes, because of that, maybe even during other parts of the episode, that wasn't the case for me. And I find that interesting. I know this is only the second episode, yet some moments seem meant to emanate tension and suspense, and I'm not getting any of that.
The cinematography was also pretty decent, and I think it elevated those first few minutes of the episode as well. Overall, I like how this show looks, as far as the filming locations are concerned. But I do think the premiere's vibe is already disappearing regarding that. Maybe because there was more "green." There wasn't as much of that yellowish tint in this episode, either; it reminded me of how Doom Patrol looked.
It's nice seeing Kristin Kreuk, although I haven't seen her in anything else yet. But she's a familiar face, and I couldn't tell you why: I don't remember. She's attractive; she has a particular look to her. Maybe the eyes. But supposedly, her accent in this show is super bad. Based on that assertion, I'm assuming that whenever a Southern accent sounds super distinguishable in television and film, that means it is likely a stereotypical one: bad and inaccurate. Objectively, maybe her Southern accent isn't bad, and those who say it is are being subjective. I thought it sounded cool. A little stereotypical, but cool.
Overall, despite the six-out-of-ten rating I've given this episode, it wasn't bad. It makes sense for this episode to be a bit slow with hardly anything "exciting." But I think the writers did a decent job, structuring everything, along with the script/plot. They implemented a tiny bit of action to add a hint of excitement, and just subtle aspects, which I think compensated for introducing more characters and doing more establishing and setting up.
Both the premiere and this episode seem to start okay/decent until the end is closing in, then a little better than okay/decent. And some people may have preferred the latter with both episodes. But I thought the beginning of this episode was the best, the middle was okay: and afterward, including the ending, was a tiny bit better than the middle.

I love the actress playing roscoe, plus the ending of the episode was perfect.
