Reacher: Season 2

2x08 Fly Boy

Excellent finale, ignore the nitpickers.

As for the finale, it was good and touching. My only regret is that Reacher didn't break his legs first too to revenge-torture him a bit before letting him go.
As for second season in general, imo it was weaker then the first one. A lot more questionable moments, such as bad guys standing with a gun waiting to be killed, bad guys missing good guys while firing automatic guns from close distance, more cliche and predictable scenes. Also, too much emphasizing on women in the team whose fight skills were not believable throughout the season.
But overall, still good and satisfying. Hoping for what's next.

I think if I tried pointing out all the illogical parts of this episode I'd run out of space, but let's just go with the dumbest part: Why on earth did they bother with bringing Dixon and O'Donnell on the chopper just to dump them? Obviously it was just an excuse to open the doors so Reacher could crawl in, but so far this season the writers don't seem to bother asking themselves "what is the goal of the character here"

And why was Reacher in charge of what happened with the money? A bit weird, as he's not their boss but whatever

That was a satisfying ending!
They better bring this guy back for a third season
He finally got a new toothbrush

The solid finale served as a redeeming aspect for an otherwise unsatisfactory season.

It was a good episode in my opinion. I'm a sucker for easygoing shows and this is definitely one of them.
The scene where Reacher holds on to the stretcher on the helicopter was a bit ridiculous, even for Reacher standards, but it was a nice episode overall and a nice ending for the season

too many disappointments in the writing department this season.

Fitting end for this season. Weak writing, clichés all over the place, cleavage scene, extremely poor final fight VS Langston. They all really turned into psychos. They grabbed 65 freaking millions and they all act surprised that Reacher used this money to enhance the living of everyone. Shame on Neighley for saying earlier she was doing quite good but not helping her dad. And from all the gifs he did, I estimate there's still 60 millions left, unless he put it all in O'donnell's kids' accounts.

REACHER: You can't shoot me
till you find her.
LANGSTON: You're right.
ME, A TEMP HENCHMAN: He's wrong, boss. You can shoot his knees or reduce his height by a few feet.

The sequence in the helicopter was bad and super farfetched. I think all happened to show her cleavage.

So very many farfetched scenes.

Too many stupid cliche in this episode, this season is just bad.

Great finale!
Reacher doing a little Robin Hood at the end of the ep...a nice touch.

I might have to start getting into the books, 23 of them so far. I'd be happy with another 20+ seasons of Reacher and from what I understand the books reflect Reacher's age too. So as we get deeper into the books we should see some natural aging issues going on too, which makes sense, not being a cartoon like 'The Simpsons', never aging.

I really hope Dixon stays a regular along with Neagley...

you watch for alan ritchson. you stay for alan ritchson. pretty satisfied, alanwise. apart from reacher, its kinda meh.

I think the Homeland didn't actually arrest the senetor, and it was just a show for Reacher's team.

They all gunning down the bad guy in the end was too cliché

My only complaint about this episode is the retribution against the baddies felt very quick. Reacher knew his team had been tortured to death, but the head bad guy got a swift death. Would have liked him to get a broken knee or a couple punches to the face before his demise.

The special investigators were a fun group to follow, but the whole story was just too big and the final action scene in the plane was way, way over-the-top. I thought that Reacher giving away the $65MM was kind of dumb. I guess it was money recovered from a big, bad, corporation so that makes it okay . If there is another season, the story needs to be about less or on a smaller scale.

Did this quench my craving for Jack Reacher? Not nearly enough!

Bittersweet ending.

I really hope Neagley will return in the next season!

Some crazy, over-the-top action brings the season to a close. It defies logic and the laws of physics, but there is no denying that it is very cool. Just like in season one, I loved the supporting cast and wish they could stick around. The beauty of this show is that they won't, and next season will be another fresh start.

10/10

Why did all the action sequences seem like Bollywood movie memes. The baddie kicking Reacher on the copter, just gives up all of a sudden like he accepted defeat. The baddie's underlings are so incompetent. They all come at Reacher one by one and collapse on the slightest touch.

Really good finale to an otherwise uneven season. Ritchson is fantastic in this role and hopefully they can nail the 3rd season.
