The show is great btw. I don't know about you but I for sure don't want to see the same story over and over. It's fresh. It's fun. The cast is fine. Hoping for second season.

How they got Lance Reddick to do this I have no idea. I will say his scenes are the only ones where there’s any quality acting. The rest, both acting and writing is just sub-par CW angsty teen garbage.

I was really wishing this would be good, but it is awful. The previews for this show weren’t spectacular or anything, so I guess it’s not much of a surprise. Seems like every new show now is centered around a teenage girl. For some reason I end up watching bad shows all the way through though, maybe even at a higher rate than the good ones. Don’t know why I punish myself like this. Here is to hoping they cancel this one, so I don’t waste another 8+ hours of life on this. I still have good shows like Ozark, Atypical, Longmire, Letterkenny, Upload, Dark, Loudermilk, Future Man, Orphan Black, Parks and Recreation…to name a few that I need to catch up on or finish.

I'm a huge fan of the game franchise (first 3) and even have come to recognise the films as their own unique 'hot people with guns and great music' fest but I can't understand why we can't make a good adaptation of this amazing IP!
We've got some great characters in the original STARS team and the others from Resi 2 and 3. I would literally watch those games acted on screen happily.
I appreciate that it's not exactly the same tired lines that The Walking Dead has run into the ground. It's okay they're doing flashbacks to fill in the past but it's all so fucking poor!
The dialogue is painful and I literally don't give a shit about any of them. I've loved Lance Reddick in his previous roles but he's not nearly as bastardy enough to be Wesker. They've whacked some kids into the mix and potentially they're implying that the events we know from the games have happened? (I.e. NEW Raccoon city and the zombie dogs we know and love).
Obviously I'll see it through but this does not bode well at all.

I hate that they put some teen drama stuff in here but the second half of the episode was ok for me. I doubt the teen storyline will stay in the show for too long sinse they will likely catch up to the current timeline where they're adults but we'll see. Lance Reddick better be in every episode cause he's the most interesting character and a great actor. The CGI is fine i've seen much worse. The story is intriguing enough I want to see what happened between the two timelines and who makes it. I can't say this really respects the Resident Evil franchise though it's quite different but it's only the first episode.

The latest movie had cheesy old school RES charm, so I figured this would be along the same vein... nope, it's just bad, not horrible, just failed remake, alternate universe bad.
That said, I'm still going to finish the series because it's only eight episodes and I rarely quit a show/movie once I've started (it's a legitimate problem). Hoping it gets better, or at least helps me to sleep.
