Although the episode was funny, as pathetic as Forrest MacNeil is, you have to feel sorry for him. In the final analysis, Forrest really does believe that what he's doing is going to go down in tv history as being a milestone for people, and thinking that somehow maybe we will thank him for making so may sacrifices to show us what it means to really live life to the fullest. It was a fantastic run. I have a feeling of loss, but also a sense of hope for his return one day.
