this isnt the first time ive asked this when watching this show: what the fuck did i just watch?

Amazing episode. I swear ever since the chemistry Olivia Dunham had with herself I've wanted this to be explored on a show. They did it right, even throwing in a San Junipero reference.
After credits scene was the cherry on top.

Back to form it seems, best episode in a while!

This episode was pretty grounded when it comes to Rick and Morty which was actually really refreshing. The scene with the kids and Rick at the table as they painfully listen to what’s going on upstairs was golden.

that post-credit handshake and "thank you!"
so good XD

Now THIS is the Rick and Morty that I love. When they keep it simple and the focus on the family.

Remember the episode when Morty got a device which allowed him to have save states, what a cool concept. And then it was used as a deep exploration of Morty's character, with him meeting that girl and surviving in the wilderness.

This show has gone downhill.

It's sad that the two worst episodes in the entire show have happened back to back.

Found this the first great episode of the season, because the previous two "concept" ones feel rather like surface riffs, so even though it's fun it doesn't linger much, while this delves into some sublime character-based humor/cringe.

Laughed so hard I farted.

First pretty good episode in a while. Enjoyed this a lot.

This episode was something else! Equal parts hilarious and uncomfortable, and pretty far removed from your stereotypical Thanksgiving Day special. We get what seems to me to be a pretty realistic depiction of post-traumatic disassociation, as well as a great exploration of the psychology of Beth, a character that the show doesn't usually focus on as much.

If you can get over how uncomfortable many of the scenes are to watch, there are plenty of laughs to be had here.

This episode sucked so bad, everyone was horribly dislikable and they should've just made Interdimensional Cable again but with that video game console, which was the only remotely interesting or funny part of the episode. Did sort of chuckle at that post credits scene though.

This show is slipping into mediocrity at full throttle.

oh jeez... well, besides uncomfortable incest scenes that was, actually, pretty great device to dig deep into Beth's character.
And also a bit of a fun commentary on adding unnecessary level of realism into the games.
I love this season, it seem like they finally started to explore characters in uniquely Rick and Morty way.

What the fuck did I just watch? The writers are diving way too deep into these characters. Can we just go back to Rick and Morty going on adventures. In and out, a quick 30 mins!

loading replies

Back to classic Rick and morty adventures

if you can't have gay sex with yourself, who can you have it with?

This simultaneously demonstrates how Beth has been split in two by showing that earth Beth has lost almost all her bitterness but also reminds us that ultimately she is Ricks kid and is equally as self obsessed and insufferable

Past two episodes have been terrible. Time
To wrap this up I think. Bring on Cthulhu episode!
