Hi! You might not know me but I'm Adlet Mayer. The strongest man in the world.

The story was awesome but the plot was definitely boring. The mystery part was good but, throughout the show, "THE STRONGEST MAN IN THE WORLD" just kept running.

At the beginning, when introducing the first female character, it feels a lot like a monogatari series. It's like a homage to that series, same with several dialogues later. When Adlet tries to convince Flamie / Fremy of his innocence in the forest it felt literally like that scene in Zetsuen no Tempest where they were standing in one forest scene for like 3 or more episodes (seriously).
Luckily they didn't drag it out nearly as much here but it was still pretty similar.

Other than that a pretty dialogue driven anime with fairly good graphics and a decent amount of action.
But the actual premise is misleading. You'd expect another heroes fight demons anime but truth is, they get trapped very early on just to fight each other over who is the seventh, "false" hero or "brave" as they are called here. The actual story could have been dealt with in like 2 or 3 episodes but got dragged out. Despite that it's overall a fair anime. Dialouges are rather good, reasoning, too. So are the different characters. This anime got a semi-ending in S1.
You're not entirely left hanging but it's not concluded either.

I didn't care for this show at all which you sort of have to given the pace and non-resolution after season 1. I'm still not quite sure if a more careful watch wouldn't have made the mystery even more obvious as it has been imho quite on the nose...

One of the best series of the season. Great animation and intriguing story. A must watch for action anime lovers.
