[7.1/10] Solid episode, I liked but didn't love each storyline.
Moira and Johnny going to an estate sale had its laughs. I’m not a big fan of Moira trying to squeeze out her only friend in town when bidding for the mattress, but it is in character, and Johnny’s reaction to it was amusing. I also really enjoyed the capper, with Moira understandably freaking out that Roland and Jocelyn may have “tried it out” first and Johnny trying to reassure that plenty of people probably “tried out” their hotel bed too. The pair have a good dynamic and it pays off.
David going shopping with Roland for a blouse for Jocelyn makes for an unusual pairing. There were some good Meryl Streep gags, and again, David’s reactions to Roland’s usual nonsense were worth the price of admission. I also enjoyed the sales woman trying to ply them with “skanky” new arrivals. I also enjoyed David declaring that the only thing he has left to his name is his taste, which is why he was so offended to be overruled.
The briefest storyline was Alexis learning to ride a bike, and I actually liked this one! THat’s right, I liked an Alexis storyline! It’s probably because despite her still being somewhat terrible (angling that Mutt should have bought her a car), her actually trying it out and becoming a bicycle acolyte shows a small but meaningful bit of growth from her. I also still enjoy her dynamic with David, between him throwing her under the bus when Mutt comes to ask about the bike, as well as her coaxing him to give the ol’ two-wheeler a try again.
Overall, a solid enjoyable episode throughout.

I really liked Roland trying to be nice to David by the end. It was like a sparkle of a rare sensitivity in him.
