A great Ferengi episode that worked so well for me because it's actually handling quite a weighty topic amidst the comedy. Armin Shimmerman does an excellent job as Quark but gets strong support from everyone around him too. All of the scenes between him and Garak here are fantastic, and you half expect for Quark to wake up dead from his dream given the Cardassian's skills.

Jeffery Combs is back again as Brunt (FCA) and also gets to have fun with the role. While it doesn't really seem like Quark has done anything to specifically earn the hatred of Brunt this much, it all seems to work anyway. I think Quark just offends Brunt with how independent and different he is from the idea of what a Ferengi should be.

It also can't be stated what a lovely moment the episode ends on as Quark realises that he has friends.

But actually, I found the b-plot here to be more enjoyable in some ways. Transplanting Keiko's pregnancy over to Kira was a genius way to incorporate Nana Visitor's real life pregnancy into the show and I love the new dynamic that develops between her and the O'Briens.
