It's suspenseful and exciting. As it should be - tempo picks up in the conclusion episode. The fact that assimilation was deliberately wasn't really a surprise though. The (triangle) love story was superfluous. Plus, I don't think it's that easy: an assimilation as a feint? No trauma? No disorientation? Don't they need time for the transformation to Borg? Can it all be done in minutes? Even the surgical stuff? Why was Picard so traumatized? Borg and back seems like child's play.If you don't think too hard about it, it's a pretty good and ambitious action episode.

It made sense to have tuvok lose his fight against the collective because of his security clearance but isn’t Vulcans supposed to have strong minds?? Either way I enjoy a good game of strategy between Janeway and the borg queen. Was tired of all the kazon and viidians of the earlier seasons

Voyager destroyed the Borg.

And I am not talking about the defeat in the story. No, the show writers turned a once formidable and feared enemy into an afterthought. Resistance is no longer futile. All you need is some technical gizmo to avoid assimilation. Tuvok only was susceptible because his had a malfunction.

The attemps of the Borg Queen to convince Janeway felt pathetic. And taking into account that Picard never really healed from his assimilation it is insulting what the are selling us here.

Yet again Janeway jeopardizes the mission amd Voyager. She should have deactivated Tuvok.

Otherwise a good episode.
