Light discourse on the Jedi as “peacekeepers” was intriguing. Really made me think.

They actually used the sound of Vader breathing when Anakin lay in sickbay.

I liked the short conversation between Aayla and the village chief. And knowing how the show will end I see many things different from the first time watching it.

Jedi Crash starts with a bang and never loses momentum. While the show and prior episodes have flirted with different tones, characters, and pace, the best episodes have tended to be the ones with a "go, go, go" attitude towards the stakes and scale. And with Anakin out of the picture, much of this episode is carried by Ahsoka and Aayla, whose dynamic allows for Ahsoka to continue her development. So far she remains one of the more interesting parts of the show and I like the tough lesson she has to learn about warfare here.

The Lurmens are a great creation as well. Outside of being a really cool looking species with a fun gimmick of rolling around like a wheel (which is very similar to Droidekas, now that I really think about it), it poses an interesting moral question about the war in general - is it necessary to get involved in warfare and is staying neutral even an option? With the arc unfinished, this answer clearly hasn't been fully answered but with a strong setup, the episode leaves you wanting more, even if it's clearly only half of a story.

I remember when this episode came out and I really hope I still have the original VHS tape my parents taped this episode on downstairs. It's such a great episode and the music is especially on point this time around. Ahoska gets schooled, the sense of danger is high, and it's great to see all of the characters get their own moments to shine. An all around great episode!

I love seeing Ahsoka mentored by other female Jedi. Between Luminara in episode 9 and Aayla here I hope we get to see more of these interactions.

Great episode, finally! We get to see some of Anakin's power, as well as some good aerial battles. Secura is a great character and the story of this episode was good for this season!

Not a lot to sink your teeth into on this one. Ashoka having to learn to put the needs of the many ahead of the few, even the few you're attached to despite your Jedi training, is a solid enough theme, but the episode doesn't do a whole lot to flesh it out. It felt like they had too much story to fit into 22 minutes, with a lot of things moving way too fast. The opening firefight was cool, but empty calories, and the band of pacifist Irish meerkats delivering hamfisted platitudes about peace didn't do much for me. It's nice to see the universe apart from the war given life, but two characters having a debate about war and peace is pretty cornball. But hey, bird creature cattle roping!
