Not good! You can clearly tell this was made super early in the show's development cycle, from the weaker animation then normal to the strange directorial choices, as well as the really electronic, guitar heavy music that doesn't fit the rest of the show. It's clearly trying to experiment with a bunch of different ideas but it doesn't fully work, particularly narratively as it feels incomplete a lot of the time. The basic premise is simple enough (R2 is missing!) but the episodic nature of the episode doesn't help when itself is already part of an episodic arc.
The biggest strike against this episode though is the fact that characters feel almost like different people here. Anakin is much more along the lines of his early Episode 2 characterization which doesn't work, Ahsoka is naive to a fault, and Obi-Wan feels too overbearing. In a lot of ways this feels like that it's an episode from a younger skewing version of the show that never made it to air, and while it's not the worst thing ever it's certainly a below average episode of the show.
Came on here literally 4 minutes into this episode to see if others hated the music - I was right. Awful. Absolutely awful. Struggling to get into this show.
The music actually was pretty bad LMAO. This arc is skippable imo
Not a good episode at all. The music was terrible, the story was contrived, and the characters were annoying.
I know R3 was lowkey bad at his job but Anakin didn't have to be so mean about it. Its sweet to see he cares though

Eh, perfectly fine. Probably a 6.5/10. The pacing was strange, with what felt like 3 different stories in the episode's three acts -- the first space battle with Grievous and the asteroids, the adventure on the scavenger ship, and Anakin's solo fighter pilot battle with Grievous. All were fine, if lacking in particular imagination. R2D2 being lost is as good a story-motivator as any, but Anakin's whininess about it and the cartoonish incompetence of the R3 unit took away from it. Also, the score was strangely plinky (I suppose to convey that this is a droid-focused episode), and it came off as pretty odd. And Grievous continues to be a cackling, largely ineffective villain, who doesn't begin to convey the menace his 2D Clone Wars counterpart did.
Again, nothing offensive here, but nothing really compelling either.
