"The value of moving slowly, is that one can always see the way ahead" - master Sinube

A fantastic exploration of Coruscant with some fairly exhilarating chase scenes. I got video game vibes from this, in a good way.

I also really enjoyed the odd couple pairing of Ahsoka and Sinube.

All of the character designs in this episode are fucking dogshit.

So much jumping and running.

5.7/10. There were really aping the science fiction noir of Blade Runner pretty hard here. When nobody was talking, and the episode just showed Ahsoka chasing her target through Coruscant, there was a real sense of place and visual storytelling that buoyed this one. But the endless lessons on the value of patience over being quick-to-act and the old Jedi Master who looked like a character from Dinosaurs and felt like a ripoff of Yoda were both pretty labored and hacky. There were some cool design on the eventual lightsaber thieves (one of whom kind of resembled a techno-Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas), and I like the idea of an odd couple pairing, but the story here was pitched so low that it was hard to get invested in it.

I really liked Master Sinube, I thought it was great to see the contrast between him and sometimes rash Asohka. Would've been good to learn more about why Ione and her friend stole the lightsaber and killed her boyfriend. I feel like many of the problems they face in the series could be solved by using a little Force pull lol. As a side note, I liked the easter egg of Palpatine talking about how there are rumors of the Jedi trying to get more power in the Republic via the war.

This one felt like the-end-justifies-the means way of story telling. Ahsoka learns a valuable lesson and Sinube was funny. Visually it was great to look at although I felt the chase was too long. I don't need 15 minutes of battle each episode but this wasn't very engaging. This really felt like a kids show (which I still don't think it is entirely).

Synopsis: Ahsoka's lightsaber has been stolen! To get it back before Anakin finds out, she enlists the help of a wise, elderly Jedi. Their hunt leads them down one path after another; will they ever get it back?

The Good: After sitting through the mess that was The Last Jedi, I needed something to remind me why I was a Star Wars fan...and this did it! Plenty of action, a convoluted plot, excellent animation...this is the kind of space opera I adore!

The Bad: Nothing, really.

Content Concerns:
Sex:
Implied shacking up.
Nudity: Ahsoka's usual outfit; another female character also dresses similarly.
Language: None.
Violence: Fantasy action violence throughout.
Drugs: None.
Frightening/Intense Scenes: Scary villains; an innocent mother and daughter are held at swordpoint; emotional intensity.
