I just can't believe that Boba managed to take down an entire cruiser mostly by himself lol
Not the best episode...but still fun for what it was.
It's hard to imagine how an episode about a young Boba Fett trying to avenge his father's death with the help of some motley, Jedi-hating outsiders by blending into a clone army youth battalion could be so dull, but this definitely was. Maybe it's because I figured the twist, that "Lucky" was the famous bounty hunter from the original trilogy out for revenge, more or less from the introduction that spoke of a hidden threat.
But more than that, it was just dull because not much happened between Boba's various sneak attacks. Sure, there's some generic "stick up for the singled out kid" and "surprisingly good shot, boy" tropes that the episode employs, but for the most part, things moved along at a pretty stilted pace. There were really only two scenes that had any impact -- the one where Boba holds a clone at gunpoint and sees his father's eyes looking back at him, and the one at the end where he jettisons his fellow young clones to go back with his collaborators. There's much hay to be made from the ideas behind both of those sequences, but this just wasn't an episode equipped to do it. The rest was clunky dialogue and generic action. Interesting idea; pedestrian execution.

Promising beginning to a new story arc featuring a young Boba Fett and the always interesting Aura Sing plus other bounty hunters. If you’re a fan of Bossk, Aura or Boba this is a must watch, canon story.
