Hulu's captions for this episode said, "Think it gets Showtime?" when Jack's actual dialogue was, "Mmm, Goa'uld TV." One of those was definitely edited since the initial broadcast, since they don't match. Given that the series started on Showtime I'm guessing it was Jack's speech that got replaced for later syndication/reruns after the series moved to a different channel. Same for a later line captioned, "That's bullshit!" where Jack's audible dialogue is instead, "We know that's not true."
To save earth
I knew they would not close stargate. Probably they will save the earth and president will let it stay.
This episode was really nice. Killing skarra, seeing different weapons...
The final scene was terrifying. Huge ship , with pyramide figure. Earth could do nothing against that.
Jack could hit skarra from feet or somewhere else. Not to kill. But never mind :)
It was good episode.
So, when they killed ra, they started the process for that attack to earth. If they did not kill ra, nothing will happen maybe for hundreds of years. But they helped lots of people.
I will miss this series. Because i watch series season by season. So, i will move to another series.

22 years later and it's still an amazing, gripping episode. Remember the first time I saw it still. Amazing!
