A solid episode, slightly reduced in significance by repeating the exact same plotline as the second true episode of season 1. infect a member of the SGC with a symbiote. Though at least this one has longer-lasting effects.

God why do I watch these old shows! The form of acting drive me nuts but what really grinds my gears is stupid ish such as one of the main actors being infected by a larva and getting through the gate and no one knowing or noticing...I mean...ugh :type_4:‍♀

About 9 minutes in, there's a shot of Hammond and O'Neill that appears to be filmed through the transparent map of star systems. The system labels are not reversed, as one would expect (since they are presumably meant to be easily readable for users inside the room).

Teal'c leaves the brig (I guess) by swiping a magstripe card with the magstripe side outside of the reader, the one noticeably wrong orientation out of four possibilities (two correct, one incorrect but invisible to the camera).

Following on from my biggest season-one annoyance, most of the Earth characters continue to mispronounce "Goa'uld"—but what really galls me in this episode is that the Goa'uld characters do it too! Ugh.
