Ol' Danny boy is the first to get the SG-1 Trifecta of Alternate Reality, Time and Dimension.
The CGI really shows the date and budget they had to work with back then. But they made up for it with some extra comedy. Such as Teal'c and O'Neill just after Daniel returns to earth.

I have the same nitpicky questions about Daniel in this episode as I did about LaForge and Ro in "The Next Phase" (Star Trek: The Next Generation 5x24) or Hoshi Sato in "Vanishing Point" (Star Trek: Enterprise 2x10). If he passes right through people and walls/doors, he should also fall through the floor and be unable to sit on anything.
It's too bad that the show never revisited this plot, though. We should have learned more about Nick's adventure in a later season.
