I like how in every alternate universe Jack and Sam are together. Just y'know not the main one.

Those goatees are a reference to Star Trek's mirror universe. That's the only explanation.

This was great on (another) re-watch. I also think this would serve as a good introductory episode to a new viewer. It's like a good fan fiction, and in the best way.

So there an infinite number of alternate realities, but the dialing pad is 5 inches wide? Doesn't seem very infinite... the little lever has a travel path with set notches/increments so that's definitely not infinite... perhaps a dial would have been better given that it can be turned as many times as necessary with an arbitrary notch size. Do the prop guys have any clue on how to design stuff?

I do love they touch upon the fact that you may not know that the reality on the other side is really yours. The details could be close enough, without being exact. I wish they would have just stated that for all intents the mirror is a one way trip. You will never know if you get back to your reality because there will be an infinite number of realities that are arbitrarily similar.

On the flip side they had the moronic statement that there were only a few realities where the Goa'uld hadn't taken over when in fact there would be an infinite number where they have taken over and an infinite number where they haven't.
